Our Philosophy

Being a mom, while very rewarding, is a demanding and exhausting job. Moms need to recharge their batteries regularly so that they can get through the diapers, sleep deprivation, teething and tantrums. This is what motivated us to open Beautiful Mama - a new holistic spa in the heart of downtown Burlington that caters to expecting, new and seasoned moms.

Until now, few moms made personal care and their well being a priority. Most of their time is devoted to making sure they are meeting the needs of their children. At Beautiful Mama, we believe that taking care of yourself is a priority, not an indulgence. If you are tired, exhausted, unhappy and overwhelmed, you are probably not 100% up to taking care of your family.

We are a unique spa in the GTA in that we offer professional child-minding services on site! We provide a sanctuary for stressed out and tired moms, allowing them the chance to relax and get renewed. Please visit The Lily Pad room for more information on our child care services.

Beautiful Mama simplifies things for moms since they don't have to worry about finding a sitter or hurrying home after their relaxing treatment. In addition to manicures, pedicures, massage and facials, we have designed treatments for expecting mothers - something that is rarely offered in other spas. Our series of programs and regiments are designed to help moms care for their skin during hormonal changes, diet, post partum depression and stress management. And we will soon be offering parents evening workshops with experts that include naturopaths, homeopaths, behavioural counselors, allergists and osteopaths.

In an effort to reduce our environmental impact, we use only organic or natural skin products, free of harsh chemicals. Even our nail polish is free of harmful toxins. In addition, our pedicure tubs are not machine operated in an effort to reduce our energy. We also offer an organic juice, tea and coffee bar in our relaxing lounge, where guests can unwind before or after a treatment.

No matter what your needs are, we hope that Beautiful Mama will become a space for you to care for your body, both inside and out!
